Mechanical Specifications

The Cognex MVS-8100C is 107 mm (4.2 inches) high by 194 mm (7.6 inches) long and

occupies a single PCI bus slot. Figure 15 shows the major components and jumper

locations on the MVS-8100C. All jumpers are shown in their factory default positions. The

effect of various jumper settings is described in Table 20 on page 48.

Note The factory default position of jumper J16 is different for different

MVS-8100C revisions. For revisions A, B, and C the jumper covers

pins 2 and 3. For revision D, the jumper covers pins 1 and 2.

On the 8100C, pin 1 is to the left of all horizontal jumper blocks, and is at the top of all

vertical jumper blocks.

Two camera ports and a double light port are on the board’s back panel. The

MVS-8100C ships with a trigger and I/O expansion panel (P/N 300-0240) that provides

external access to the trigger and I/O connector’s signals. An optional camera port

expansion panel (P/N 300-0245) is available to bring the signals from ports J12 and J5

out to two camera ports and another double light port. Both expansion panels occupy a

back panel slot, but do not connect to the PCI bus.
